Hate Me

Why do you hate me? Is it the
style of my hair or the happiness
I have? Take a stab at me
why don’t you, but remember when
I bleed: bleed red the same
color as you do. Why hate me
we are the same on the inside.

—Dillon Sylvester

Apples

Apples they red and green
with a seed between
People come to the big apple
to pursue their dream
But it seems to me that an
apple represents more than
just a fruit, it’s a natural monument
We don’t care where
the apple comes from because the
truth remains whether China,
or Brazil, it all tastes the same
So, in the end it depends when the season comes but it’s just an apple
I don’t care where it’s from.

“Far From Transparent”

My skin, my eyes and my girlfriend’s thighs
Why is it a problem to you, whom claim to be wise
Why do you hate me, is it the style of my hair
Take a stab at me every time you stop and stare.
But remember when I bleed my blood is red too
I’ve found the true meaning of my creed
So should you. The media has brainwashed my young brothers
As Tupac said give us guns step back and watch us kill each other.
I do not support America with their civil genocide
Working their way around their own laws, to cover up their own lies
Please support me in my fight ,try and not do what’s right
They think you might prove them wrong and lets do what’s right

In The Ghetto

It’s been hard in the ghetto
Sunny days in the rain
Between the few seconds of joy and long hours of pain
I seen a homeless man on the train
And he asked me for coins
But he really need change
Now does that make cents?
I quickly look down in my pockets
To try to find where my dollars went
I couldn’t provide him dollars instead
I provided words, I told him hold his head
Its alright.

LOVE

Love is crazy.

It is Joy,

It has its ups and downs

And its crash landings.

I love thee

And the loves me.

I don’t know

If I can have anyone else.

But at the end of the day

You love me and I love you too, boo!

THE KEY

I shall not let you kill her.

She is the future of this world.

She is the hope we hold on to.

Because when I look into her eyes, she makes me want to cry.

She makes my dreams come alive.

She gives me the wings to soar high, my hopes reach the sky.

She frees my mind.

She makes me look beyond what I see.

She makes me dream.

She makes me look beyond the streets I walk on with trash and weeds,

and the blood on the wall that makes me skin crawl.

I would go on my knees just so I don’t see this wonderful woman bleed.

Please, oh please just kill me.

Because without her I’m insignificant.

My life has no meaning without her.

I’ll go blind again.

My dreams and hopes will go back into the darkness like before.

All the doors that she helped me open will close again.

And without her,

I have lost the key.

RENEWAL

Him who is you

A person I call disgrace.

No pride

You shame me

My desire to be yours

You used me

Sex was your priority

You were careless with all of our unfaithful memories

and didn’t give two shits

of smashing it into pieces.

Guess what

It was dust

Of it’s remains

I’ll say its

Your burned up bitch.

But I forgive y’all

My heart was that perfect glass

You know you broke it.

But hunnie

Someone renewed it

Ha!

CHANGED MY MIND

I told you how I feel but you just didn’t feel the same.

I told you how much I loved you,

All you could do is laugh in my face.

When I showed you how much I cared,

All you did was push me away.

Never gave me the time of day.

Never wanted me around.

All you did was treat me like I didn’t exist.

But now I’m all over you,

Your coming back this way.

But now I’m not the one.

You had your chance to be with me.

You hate when other people talk to me and get mad,

But its just a little too late.

I changed my mind!
